It is not paint and it is not a coating. No two cases come out of the press with the same pattern. The edges are chamfered and polished by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe dial is flat matte black with a fine grained finish. The three counters are black too, sunk into it with concentric turntable brushing, their rings only just darker than the dial around them. You find them by the way they catch the light, not by colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hour markers are applied rectangles framed in dark steel with pale cream luminous filling, and the hands are dark with luminous inserts. The printing on the dial is white and the bezel numerals are white — the two places the watch lets itself be read at a glance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe strap is black woven man-made fibre with black stitching.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside is a \u003cstrong\u003ehigh-precision automatic chronograph movement\u003c\/strong\u003e — self-winding, no battery, ever.
