It is not paint and it is not a coating. No two cases come out of the press with the same pattern. The bezel numerals are printed in pale gold. The edges are chamfered and polished by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe dial is pale ice-blue. Large orange Arabic numerals run one to twelve around its outer edge, and inside them sits a second, finer scale reading TELEMETRE with its own orange numbers. Start the chronograph when you see a thing happen and stop it when you hear it, and the scale reads off how far away it was.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe three counters are brushed silver inside rose-gold rings, with rose-gold spoked hands. The hour markers are applied rectangles framed in rose gold, the hour and minute hands are rose gold, and the chronograph seconds hand is tipped in orange.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pushers and winding crown are rose gold. The strap is orange woven man-made fibre.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside is a \u003cstrong\u003ehigh-precision automatic chronograph movement\u003c\/strong\u003e — self-winding, no battery, ever.
