40MM · FORGED CARBON · MATTE BLACK DIAL · AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH
You Read This One By Moving It
The counter rings sit a shade darker than the dial, and nothing else marks them.
Hold it still under a lamp and it is a black disc. Tilt it and the layout arrives: three counters, sunk, turning concentric rings of light as they come round.
That is deliberate. The rings around the counters are only just darker than the matte black around them, so the face has no drawn boundaries at all — the shape of the watch is made by depth and finish rather than by contrast.
It is the opposite of a dial that shouts its information at you, and it is why this one keeps giving you something at arm's length that a photograph does not.

THE TWO EXCEPTIONS
Cream Lume, And White On The Bezel
The only warm thing on the watch, and the only thing on it at night.
The hour markers are applied rectangles framed in dark steel and filled with pale cream luminous compound. Against a grained matte black that cream is the single warm note on the whole piece.
The printing on the dial and the numerals on the bezel are white — the two places the watch allows itself to be read at a glance rather than studied.
After dark everything else disappears and the markers stay. It becomes a ring of light with hands across it.
Making Black Legible
Every decision here is about depth, because colour was not available.
Case Pressed
Case, bezel insert and caseback come out of the press as forged carbon, the grey-and-black figure already fixed in the material.
Dial Grained
The face is finished matte black with a fine grain, which is what stops it going glossy and losing the counters entirely.
Counters Seated A Shade Darker
The three rings are finished just below the dial's own value — close enough to vanish head-on, far enough to appear when the light moves.
Cream Lume Set
The applied markers are framed in dark steel and filled with pale cream compound, then checked in the dark as well as the light.
Movement And Test
The automatic chronograph movement goes in, and the watch is run and regulated before boxing.
2-Year Warranty. 30-Day Refund.
Wear it for a month. If it is not what you expected, send it back for a full refund — no conditions, no restocking fee.
Why It Reads As Expensive
An all-black dial is the easiest thing to make and the hardest thing to make well — get the finishes a fraction wrong and it is a black circle with nothing on it. This one is finished and boxed at $949.
