Step-cut stones have flat, stepped facets instead of the scattered sparkle of a round cut, so they flash in clean bands of light rather than glitter. On a polished gold-tone rim, against a turquoise dial, that reads as fresh rather than loud.
The dial keeps everything a chronograph needs: three turquoise counters in slim gold-tone rings, numbered in black to twelve at nine, thirty at three and sixty at six, a fine black minute track round the edge, and gold-tone baton hands carrying white luminous strips.
